Movie - Tokyo Friends
一番最初に描いた夢を、あなたは今も、覚えてる?
This is the theme of the Japanese series "Tokyo Friends", "Do you still remember the very first dream you had for yourself?"
I found this interesting title in the selection of DVDs that was on the HollywoodClicks web. Being a Japan film lover, I add it into my rental Q. This movie later led me to go out searching the the original series, the story before the setting in the movie. (Note: Usually for Japanese series, they always leave things a little unfinished that they will continue is a movie OVA version.)
Ever since I came back from Japan, I haven’t seen much Japanese series. But this paritcular one kind of reminded me why I love Japanese series in the first place. It is DREAM. The usual theme behind a Japanese series is dream seeking. It is about going out of way to chase a dream, doing something out ordinary. Most of the time it is very inspiring, as is in this particular one. To top it off, the main lead is actually a star singer "Otsuka Ai, 大塚愛", and with a good mix of song and music, this can really be a very entertaining piece.
Due to a undesirable turn of event in my recent life, I have been searching for something. This series had led me to think about my dreams. What did I dream about in the past, when I am young? Some of those dreams are kept away, forgotten. I would now try to dig them out, and see what I can do.
So do you still remember that dream you had when you are young?
